New Delhi: India's Karun Chandhok is the inaugural race the Team Lotus Formula One race on Tuesday announced that Heikki Kovalainen and Jarno Trulli will be representing the team race this weekend.
27-year-old resident of Chennai, reserve driver for Team Lotus was disappointed in not getting a chance to compete before the home side with his compatriot Narain Karthikeyan, who is running for the Hispania Racing Team.

"I'm obviously disappointed that I did not have opportunity to race on Sunday, the team's decision to accept the experience and the talent they have at their disposal, with Jarno and Heikki," said Chandhok.
Team Lotus' chief executive Tony Fernandes, who was born in India dad said it was a difficult decision not to give Chandhok the opportunity to participate in a race.
"From a team perspective, the main goal for us this weekend is to maintain the performance levels we saw in the last two races. I'm sure there are fans in India who want to see Karun race for us on Sunday and we had to make the best decision for the future team.
